:hi:

What product do you all use for water conditioning when adding more or doing a water change?

:read:

Prime, and prime only.

As mentioned, Prime is a good water conditioner. It will deal with both chlorine and chloramine.

As for other people who only have chlorine in their tap water (no chloramines) they just let their water sit for 24 hours (minimum).

:)

I have been using something that a LFS told me to use which is:

Kordon AmQuel+ plus.

Removes Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonia, Chlorine and Chloramines.

Was $14 for 16oz.

I have to tell you, this stuff STINKS! I smells like something dead and I wash my hands just after opening the cap.

Anyone know about this and recommend a better replacement?

Prime is made by...who and how much is it approx.?

Water Conditioner

Have never used the brand that you mention. I strickly use Prime when doing water changes. It also has a very unpleasent odor. Prime is made by Seachem. If you price match at petsmart use www.bigalsonline.com you can get the 250ml (8.5 fl oz) bottle for $4.99. Dosage is one cap full per 50 gallons.

thanks guys for the inputs!
