Water Flow & Types of Fish

I have a 120 Gal. 48inx24inx24in. The pump does 900 Gal/hour. Currently it is only about 1/3 of that. The current is still strong. I would like to get some angels. Does anyone know if this is too much water flow, or how much is ok. Currently I have
6 bosemani rainbows (sorry for the spelling)
2 misc. rainbows ( looked them up once but forget what they are)
3 sterbi cory
10 tetra (kind of like lemon tetra)
2 white clouds ( the other 8 fell through the overflow and died)

**want to add
6 blue blusher angels
2 or 3 royal plecos
any suggestions or ideas let me know

I wanted a killer oscar tank, but my wife hates them. I used to have 3 with firemouth, convicts, plecos and sturgeon. Then I joined the army and had to get rid of them. That was 6 years ago.

Is that the pump on the filter? What sort of filter. Filter turnover for that sort of tank would want to be at least 500gph, so 500-900gph should be okay. You may need to dispearse the outlet a bit maybe...

the pump is a blue line 55 model. it pumps about 900 gal/hr. It has an overflow with a pre filter pad with charcol between the prefilter pads. then bioballs and a big canister filter. I keep it turned down to about 1/3 with the ball valve I instaled on the pvc pipe. The current was too strong for the rainbows to swim in. Do they make anything to go into bulk heads that will disprearse the water flow? currently there are clear heads comming out angling 45 degree down and in the center. They cant be adjusted. currently.

you can split it so water will come out more outlets at a slower rate.
