Hi Guys
Quick question..
When doing top ups of the evaporation water.. I normally mix my water 3- 4 days in advance. unfortunately i don't have any right now and need to add 2 - 3 gallons to the tank..
What is the normally procedure..
I normally add treatment to my tap water (dechlorinator and the likes) let it sit for a day or so then add my salt.
Now can i mix this all together and right a way add to my aquarium since it is such a small amount (currently running 130 gallon tank).. or should i still wait. or can i just add RO water to it?

Thanks

When doing topoffs, you should use freshwater--the salts remain in the tank as the water evaporates. Using RO would be best, but using dechlorinated water will be fine.

Dechlorinators work pretty much instantly--no reason to let it sit other than bringing it up to room temperature--and heaters work well for that.
