My water hardness of my tank is 300ppm what can I put in it to lower the hardness? or is the hardness not to important as the other tests? everything else is the normal reading for my water.

I have stocked mollies, dalmation, guppies and a betta. its a 30 gallon tank.

Your water has high alkalinity. This doesn't mean a lot unless you are trying to breed blackwater fish.

Adding things to hard water does not make it softer, it generally makes it even harder. Bufers may lower the pH for a short time, but it bounces back.

Mixing tap water and RO will reduce the hardness, but it is not cheap, so there is little reason to do so unless needed.
