Ok I added an air stone yesterday and since about an hour into it the water started to go all cloudy is this normal? I'm gonna do some water changes is there anything else I should do? Should I turn the air stone off or keep it going?

hmm... are you not cycled/cycling or not?
I don't think air stone are supposed to do anything to your water (besides adding oxygen).... but cloudy water means bacteria... hm....

:OT:
i wish i had an airstone too, lol.

I have cycled everything was fine until I added the air stone I think it might have disurbed the water a little and stirred up stuff in the bottom.

How big of a tank?
What kind of substrate?
How old/established is this set up?
Do you gravel vac regularly?

it's only a little 5 gallon tank it had been set up for about a month being cycled and ive had the fish in there for about 3 weeks. i gravel vac three times a week.

Did you do a fishless cycle with ammonia?

Just run the tank for a perios of time, then add fish?

Use Bio-Spira?

Yeah I done a fishless cycle and then I just kept an eye on things once I added the fish.

Did you do a fishless cycle with ammonia?

Well there are several ways actually.

What are your exact ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH readings right now?
