i just did a large water change and i put all the water back in to find it was stil dirty does any1 no what i cood do 2 make it clear again

whats your substrate? my substrate that i bought last month stained my brand new 36 bowfronts water a bluish grey cloud, i had to do a full water change and remove all the substate, do you have driftwood in the tank, it might be cloudy because of that.

Can you describe the color of the water? What kind of filtration media are you using? I currently use this white filter pad called 'Pureflo' made by Coralife/ESU, and its fairly large, 24" x 36" so you can cut pieces off to the desired size. It seems to filter the water very well. It's reusable, and is cheaper than buying cartridges.

If you have a HOB filter, try taking out the media and filling it with floss for a couple of hours. That should filter out small particles floating in the water. Even better, if you're a filter junkie, temporarily add a second filter that's full of floss.

do you siphen your gravel? try doing that. Then, when you put more water in, float a plastic tupperware in your tank and poor the water into that. By pooring your water in with a lot of force, it'll stir up any, uh you know, in the gravel and leave it floating in the water. Cleaner gravel, and less force upon new water's entry should help your tank clear up quickly.
