I have been keeping my 125gallon with 40 gallon sump for some time, and the params for the water have always been right on the mark. Yesterday I did my weekly water test and found that the dKH-Mag and Calcium are not within normal ranges.

Phosphate 0
Amonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
PH 8.22
Salt 1.024
Temp 78
dKH 7.0
Magnesium 1200
Calcium 365
ORP 378

While they are not in any critical range, just below normal...I have never had them fall out or range before. Just did a 15% water change last weekend and I use Tropic Marin Pro salt.

Any ideas what could cause it? I haven't added anything to the system, nor have I changed hardware

When was the last time you tested your parameters? It could be that you have a deficient batch of salt or even testing error.

I last tested the middle of October and have done a bit of traveling so I didn't get the water tested.

Have you seen better than normal growth on some of your corals? Consumption could account for the drop to slightly below normal values.

My montipora is really taking off, as well as my cup coral. My softies don't seem to be as happy as they normally do.

Thats what I would attribute it too. Unless you got a bad batch of salt mix. I would mix up some fresh SW and test that. See what you come up with. Oh and make sure you test your tank after a topoff of RO water.
