water perams help ! please

just took my readings in my 12 gallon nano reef it is in a fishless cycle of 2 days now...

nitrate above +110
nitrite 1.6
ammonia 3.7
ph7.9
calcium 660
kh reading 150

am i going over kill with 2 large raw jumbo prawns ?
also shouldnt my ph be around 8.3 (if so how would you recommend boosting it)

and how do i get my kh down a bit or do i need to?

any thoughts on the calcium as well?
 
your getting +110 after two days? what are your water test results of the water your using for the tank? I would get it checked with a nother test kit...Whats the SG out of interest...i would not worry about calc and alk right now...boost the pH with a buffer if required.

i wouldnt worry about it. however, that is a lot very very fast. so nikko had a good suggestion.
i woudl also remove one of the raw shrimp. if thigns get too high you canstart to kill beneficial things from live rock.

new test results via... api test kit niko suggested... added a ph buffer
and going to remove a shrimp... and hopefully things will settle out soon...
 
removed one shrimp around 5 pm last night.....\

nitrates have gone from 80 down 10
 
so my ammonia has been hovering around .3 -.4 i pulled the last shrimp changed out 4 l of water.... didnt effect my readings any..... im gonna let it sit on the ammonia that is present in the water for a couple days now... hopefully it will work it way down

p.s niko my sg is at .24
 
dont take another shrimp out. your amonia, although not SUPER high, is still pretty high. you must have added some really established rock if your cycle went out that quickly. dont worry about your water levels. leave the other shrimp in and wait a few more weeks for it to decompose completly and everythign to settle out.

thats the problem...... it was decayed little more remained then the hard exo skeleton.... sand was from my 90 tank the water was from my 90 the live rock rubble in the 2nd back chamber is from my 90 ... and the rock was from my lfs who runs power heads on his live rock... some was freshly shipped in and some had been sitting in his shop for awhile...

im gonna check perams again in the morning.. if all goes well i might pick up some pure ammonia to check things out... maybe add a new shrimp... i was just getting concerned i would get the ammonia levels 2 high and like you said kill off some good things......


also would it be a good idea to rip out some filter floss from my 90 and stick it in my overflow?
 
well i just woke up....ammonia readings has dropped off the face of planet less then 0.02 down from the blue zone which is greater then then 0.2 when i went to bed... gotta check my parameters
