Hi, I have some questions regarding water pumps. I have read up about them but I still need more specific answers that I couldn't find and hope people here would know. These pertain to only submersible pumps only as it's what I need.
1. What happens if a hose exceeds the max head listing pump? Does it not pump water anymore and just struggle and possibly burn out?
2. What difference does hose size make on the resistance on the pump?
3. How much heat does a pump bring to a setup?
I'm looking to use the pump for something else rather than a fish tank. The system will be a closed loop system. Not sure if that makes a difference either.
Any help or links to references would be greatly appreciated.
