I have a temp question, my tank is around 79-80 degrees is this ok or do I really need to invest in a chiller, I would rather not, but will if I have to, thanks! My tank never used to get this high it always used to be around 76-78 degrees, but I recently moved in an upstairs apartment, and you all know heat rises, please let me know?

What do you have in the tank? Fwiw, 80 wouldn't hurt fish or coral ,"IME" even long term it's actually about the perfect temp for a reef. just ime.
83 or 84 short term graudual no problems in a reef much above that I start taking action that way I have a couple of degrees for safety.

not alot right now just a damsel and a purple pseudiochromi and some hermit crabs, but real soon will be adding corals. So if you were me you wouldn't buy a chiller?
Have a small fan blowing across the surface of the water before you run out and buy a chiller. Temps up the low 80s are OK.
