Watts per gallon

I have 65 watts of light on a 29 gallon. That's about 2.25 wpg. Are there any plants that I should avoid with this level of lighting?

not really though you might have problems with some high light plants

I would consider that to be medium light. Avoid crimson plants which are normally high light users. http://www.plantgeek.net is a good resource.

Pressurized or DIY CO2?

At that level of lighting you can grow about anything, since a 20gal High depth is 16" at most. Pressurized will make your life easy but DIY can be used with good results.

You're in a pretty good area. It's hard to recommend against something as every setup is different.

I actually have no CO2 at this point. Dosing Flourish Excel daily. That's all for now.

you're probably going to want to figure out some type of CO2 system. I was at about 2.5 wpg and was trying to just use excel, but I developed some pretty bad algae issues.

Oops, thought I read 20gal. I consider 18" the border of shallow to tall tanks.
