Watts up?

Very nice Cap'n Your 'did it yurself', tank stand and canopy are pretty cool.

Some people are just gifted I suppose. And you know what your doing, so that helps. (You shoulda moved the waste can for the photo though....;) gotchya!

Thanks swimfins. I know I should've moved the can before taking the pic. BTW I really like the tank in your avatar. I checked out your webshots gallery and noticed a few interesting fish too (african butterfly and dojo loach especially).

Oh now I'm gonna go ahead and cry.... I lost my African Butterfly last week, she jumped and I didn't find her until the next morning. :o

My dojos are the funniest and cutest..... I recommend them to everyone. Those whiskery faces got my heart I must say. Throw in a thawed pea and watch the fun. My daughter thinks its amusing when they fart.

Thanks Cap'n
I learned alot form listening to you folks in this forum so.......I all owe it all to you :)

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. I've had fish jump on me as well and it can be heartbreaking.

Loaches are great fun. Are yours hyper and active all the time? I've only kept yoyo's and kuhli's, both were moving pretty much constantly. Entertaining fish.

To me, knowledge is the step that requires the least amount of effort in the aquarium process. You still have to put in the time and maintenance required to have a healthy tank. Obviously you've done this and owe your success to no one but yourself.

I didn't want to learn by trial and error, although 10 percent of it was.....
I asked questions here. And got answers by everyone here. I used my common sense, partly, but good advice and support makes the difference.
I would have spent money unwisely had it not been for this forum, so it saved me alot (this hobby is not cheap). I can understand why people quit when everything goes wrong. Waking up to a hundred dollars or more of dead fish and plants must be sad....

I've lost 5 tetras to ich at 4 dollars each (less tax) last week...
I got my 2 dojos for 1.87 at walmart a couple months ago, they were an ugly iron grey, and are now a beautiful speckled bronze. I bought three but one disappeared a few days later. They had shipping shock, I think, but 2 survived and did very well. Active, curious, always sniffing around my hand when I do something in the tank. They come up behind my hand and 'goose' me. Its a shock to feel the sucking sensation on your hand......eek! They don't hide at all. When I moved them to the big tank, they were quiet for a day or 2. I love them to pieces. I read they can live quite long.
