ways to set up my lights

i am not sure how i want to set up the lighting on two of my tanks. right now i have 6 t8 and 2x55 power compact lights.

120 gal 72 long 24 deep 16 wide
85 gal 72 long 17 deep 16 wide

ok here is the lighting i have a
6 t8
6 t12
4x65 48 inch long box
4x55

both tanks will have co2.

I would stagger them so that they overlap a bit in the center, but you'd still get coverage from one end to the other. I have some CF's that overlap in the center and, to my eye, I can't see the overlap at all.
And a bit of extra light in the middle doesn't hurt.
Do you intend to build boxes for the lighting once you've settled on a configuration?
