Bendare donedat!
When mom, dad, wife, our 2 girls and I arrived in NC.(However you're supposed to grammarely, etically say all that?!)sigh...
We(all above mentioned^) were moving to NC from Mo. Having just gotten done with 2 days of 1100 miles in a u-haul pulling my pick'em up (also loaded inside and out) on a trailer, and being kinda late to deal with a new(to us) home. We decided to get a room for the night.
We wanted a hotel with a pool to give the kids something to do, not too mention being 90 something degree's and 2 days on the road. We asked if they had a pool and got a yes. We get the rooms... and do all the unpacking n stuff.
I walk out to take a look at the pool. It was empty!
I guess we needed to ask more details... like does it have water? clear, chlorinated water? Useable according to the FDA? etc.
Ok, so we won't be going swimming. How about something to eat?
Hey! there's a KFC across the street! Chicken it is!
Proceeded to KFC. Walked in, and it went something like... *thinking to self... 15 pc BUCKET!* But before i could get "I" out. The person behind the counter says... "We don't have any more chicken". Then stood there looking at me like I was going to oder a burger or something instead. I just uhhh'ed at the whole deal and walked out. With the gazillion "black people(employee's) ate all the chicken!" jokes going through my head.
I guess where ever we tried next had hamburger, because I don't remember anything else from that day.
