My son wants at least one African Dwarf frog and either tetras or glofish. We have a 10 gallon tank that was used for just fish. We want to update it for the frogs and fish. How many frogs and fish will fit in it? I need to know what is the best filter that is easy to maintain. Plus, what other supplies are needed? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

In a 10gal, you can have 2-3 Frogs, and a small school of "Small" fishes.
Any of the small "Hang-on" filters would be dine. Me--personally I like AquaClears.

Agreed with tanker.
The AquaClear is a great filter and easy to maintain. Additionally, you will need a heater to maintain tropical temperatures.

Tetras or glofish would both work with ADFs. Maybe 2 ADFs and a school of 4-6 fish?

Hang on, it really depends on what kind of tetra. There are many that are not suited for a 10 gallon tank and very few that are.
Neon tetras would be size appropriate, but I'd be more inclined to recommend harlequin rasboras as they are much hardier.
As for the glofish, I REALLY wouldn't recommend them in a 10 gallon and especially not with an ADF. Your original glofish are zebra danios, which are much too active for a 10 gallon IMO. Also, with them in a 10 gallon they're such voracious feeders you're not likely to get enough food down to the frog.
BTW, make sure the tetras are fairly calm. No Serpaes or Silvertips. Those are fin nippers.
I've had my neons nip as well. I would go with red-eyes. Very communal and live a long time. They also stay small and I've kept them with dwarf frogs successfully.

Also, on a side note, make sure to be very careful when cleaning a tank with dwarf frogs in it. I had an incident when a frog escaped and was consequently crushed. They can also escape through small chinks in tank tops, and they don't lasts long out of the water. I like the "albino" (pink) dwarfs, but the wild types are fun too. Have fun with your frogs, I'm sure you and your son will enjoy them.

i wouldn't keep reptiles or amphibians with fish or together. Some people do it but success rate is low. One reason is fish tend to eat the slime coat off of amphibians. For amphibians with gills, the red feathery gills are irresistible to fish and they nip at the gills and eventually the amphibian suffocates to death.. Those just a few of the MANY reasons reptiles and amphibians should have their own dedicated enclosures.
