Weird ammonia spike..

The key ingredient I'm looking for is metronidazole. For the pits/erosion. I have tank buddies parasite clear and although Jungle labs isn't my fave, it's the only thing I could find that has the metro. I looked at the Maracyn 2 but I think it was only for external parasites no?

jungle parasite clear actually works very well for many external and internal parasites.

if that doesn't clear up the infestation you need to look for levamisole HCL

the hcl is water soluable.

some parasites have become immune to prazi and metro..however flagellated protazoans are still suseptible to the metro.

I believe coppersafe uses chelated copper (copper bound with a chelating agent)

when you use it the chelated copper is effective for a month..some of it is removed during water changes which is why the recommend re-dosing the water you are replacing.

the dosing if the effective amount they recommend usually x amt to x gallons.

once you have completed treatment. it is recommended to use water changes and carbon to remove the copper.
traces may remain in the tank for extended periods.

many don't like the use of copper or chelated copper. this is because the actual mechanism(how it works) is really not well known.
