Weird cottony spores ?

Hey all, last week i noticed weird cottonlike growths in my tank. Thinking it was rotting food, I did an extra gravel cleaning. this week, i see little (not really tiny though) cottonlike spores floatong around. They have a white center with threadlike filaments growing out from it. Kind of like a dandelion before the wind blows all of those flying seeds away. now two of the fish have mouth and eye fungus. Using pimafix and melafix. Any ideas on what it is and other treatments?

Don't know how effective the fixes are against fungal infections. I personally use MarOxy. Otherwise, medicating is really the only way to go with fungal infections.
