Weird disease ? Red anal wrigglers.

Try a search for camallanus worms, that looks like what you've got. Levamisole, which is a cattle dewormer is known to get rid of them. You would probably have to get it through a vet.

Well, thanks a lot. Thats that.
Things are getting nasty now...
Goin' to stop this party.

Sure sounds like camallanus to me. I have learned about them the hard way, having lost several guppies to them recently. I have ordered some Levamisole HCl from this fellow: http://inkmkr.com/Fish/ . There is also a good article on that site about treating for camallanus.

I am concerned that I have cross contaminated all of my tanks and want to dose them all to get rid of these nasty critters. Plan a dose when the stuff arrives and another in a month or so. Really bad thing about them, is appears to me, is that the creatures life cycle is so long that even quarantining for a month might not turn up the problem. I just took one LFS of my list. I told them about the problem, and that is the only store I have used, but I don't know what they can or will do about their own tanks.
