Its been a while since i been on AC, just been busy. I was watching my HRP's this morning before i got out of bed and I noticed that my male would go to the top of the tank, go completely verticle with his head towards the top of the tank then suddenly dash off, but he would only do it when the female was around. I have had these two HRP for several months now, i got them quite young @ about 1" and now they are about 2.5" I find this to be a strange behavior and have never seen it before. They are in a 30gal planted tank with one angel and one yo-yo loach, neither of which they bother too much. The pH is about 7.2 on average, 0ppm ammonia, 0ppm nitrites, 5ppm nitrates, gdH 3.5, kh 4, temp 79F. Waterchanges 40% 1-2x weekly. The fish are eating vigirously and are fed 2x daily (flakes and frozen alternately). Anyone else had this behavior out of HRPs?
