you know how they say you shouldnt mix big oscars with the small tetras? how come sometimes i see other people's aquarium with huge cichlids and some 1 inch bala shark and still survive?

Because they have it stuck in there head that they will do what they want regaurdless of what is best for the fish.

some fish, like angel fish, if they grow up with having say neons in the tank, wont eat the neons, even when they get big enough to fit them in their mouth, just because they're use to them.

also considering the angels arent starving.

well one thing this bala shark is they get bigger. a lot bigger. i also think they are fast swimers who need lots of room.
