Weird...

I worked at 2 different stores. I kept asking the pet care manager request that we would get NO pacus and fewer Oscars. Didn't help. I did buy every single Espei Rasbora that we had, though... On sale added to the 15% employee discount.
I got so tired of trying to explain that plecos will not eat poop, Goldfish get huge and yes, you have to change the water regularly. *sigh*

ahahahah

Actually, I don't know why the water is blue in petsmart betta cups lol. They're not blue anywhere else! I'm sure it's from a water conditioner or something, just don't know which exact one. You don't have to tell me what it is if you don't want, hannah :)

:D. It is from the water conditioner...we use those Jungle Fizzy dechlorinator tabs that are good for 5 gallons, fill up a 5 gallon bucket, plop it in, wait for it to dissolve...then do water changes out of the bucket twice a week (that's also the only time we feed them, to cut back on waste). I've tried talking them into changing to something clear, since it makes it hard to see the bettas' colors and I think it's just tacky...but store policy wins because it's one less thing for employees to measure and potentially mess up.

gonna head into my local petsmart tommorrow.. i am in the market for ember tetras... man i hope they have them..

Yeah, seems like different PetSmarts get these "opportunity fish" at different times. My local PetSmart had the ember tetras, peacock gudgeons, celebese rainbows, and rummy-nose rasboras early this year. Right now, they are phasing out the royal "trifasciata" rainbows, bosemani rainbows (which I bought the last of!), parrot cichlids, gold tetras, and tropheus duboisi (which were clearanced at 15 bucks a pop!). They just started getting in new fish, including tropheus moorii, dwarf flag cichlids, moonlight gouramis, bristlenose plecos, purple spot gudgeons, and columbian tetras. I guess it all depends on region.

I saw some celebes rainbows there yesterday myself and some juvenile glass cats. That's some really rare stock they're getting into.
