i came home from work today, checked my tanks, and saw that one of my rasboras had died.
there is anacharis in that tank, and somehow the fish had (i suppose) tried to eat one of the anchoring roots that grows down from the main part of the stem. it was the very top of the 5" root next to the stem with the root going through its mouth and out of the gill. very strange. i guess rasboras don't go in reverse. . .

That is a strange way to find a fish. Is there anyone in the tank that could have tried to chase and spook him? He could have shot forward and gotten himself stuck/impaled.
