Well here we go...

Well I got started on the sump, but not alot done yet. I did with alot of help from Doug get my tank drilled for the drains and closed loop over the weekend. See I do make progress. Turns out that the front back and bottom of one of the ten gallon tanks was tempered, so shatter. I know now, when you make the cut with the glass cutter, before you try to pop the glass, listen to it. If it crackles...chunk it in file 13 cause its tempered. No crackle..pop away.

I will finish up my model of the system tonight and post some pics. Noting to do with an OM though. Im using a SCWD.

Pro Tip: Google "SCWD mod" and see how you can make the SCWD much better than it is, much more reliable and more flow. Takes a little DIY work, but it seems you can handle that. Also, don't follow my mistake, not installing valves before the SCWD so you can take it off the tank for cleaning repair without having to drain the tank. ;)

Thanks for the tips.

So water test...Done :woohoo:

Finished it all up today testing it. Everything is at least working as it should, both bubble traps work, a,d everything fits.

Pics are good.

Return side working like a charm

Skimmy is making bubbles, FW sucks for that. Note the water levels.

Water levels are too high, is it supposed to be 9" inside or outside of the skimmer?

What ya think?

Here's the latest. Got the sump fitted, along with the ballast for the MH light, the canopy is fitted, and all looks to be ok. To deal with the heat from the ballast and the light, fans will be installed in strategic locations throughout the build, two on the side of the stand for the ballast, and two in the top canopy for the MH light, as well as two more in sides of the canopy to counteract the heat caused by the light. Here are the pics.
