Darnit, I wish YOU were my mother-in-law!!! My husband doesn't know how to cook anything other than burgers/dogs/steak on the grill, and scrambled eggs and toast! Cleaning, what's that? He'll take the dirty ice cream scoop out of the sink and rinse it off to use it, rather than take 10 minutes and clean all the dishes! And laundry, pfft yeah right! I threw my back out a few years ago and told him to let the laundry pile up, for fear that all my stuff would be shrunk or the whites turned pink...
From the day my son was born, I have sworn that he will NOT grow up to be like his daddy (when it comes to housework, my husband is a wonderful man and other than the housekeeping thing, I hope my son is exactly like his daddy!!) As soon as he's old enough, he will help me with the laundry. He already "helps" me cook (puts the ziti into the water, shakes the shake and bake bag etc...)
Anyway GEL - sorry about my rant! :OT:
You are awesome to take your son to the festival! I would like to say that if my son asked for tickets to a loud music festival like that, 12 years from now, that I'd take him... but maybe I'd make his daddy take him
I second the nomination of you for MOTHER OF THE YEAR!
