Well my betta died

Ill post some pics tomorrow once (if) I find a nice one! Hoping for orange or I saw a black crowntail with like silver-under scaling if that makes any sense at petsmart like a week ago, maybe hes still there!

Sorry to hear about your loss, it's rough losing any fish let alone one that has so much personality.

Sorry to hear that, man :( Never good losing a fish. Most people don't understand that having a fish for 2+years is like having a dog or something. Or am I just weird and fish obsessed?

No, I understand I am sad he died! (granted not as sad as if my dog died lol) but still fish you have for a long time mean something to you

Nah, you arent the only one. Granted I have only been properly keeping fish since august and have had 1 death. (a neon tetra that was stuck in the bag for a while at the store before the guy realized it. A few hours after we got home I found him stuck to the intake of the filter) I remember being so sad when my brothers fish died. But he was trying to keep it in a bowl. I remember ON CHRISTMAS I saw my betta swimming around in his little bowl thing (this was like 5 years ago), I went downstairs to build a lego set. Came back up and he was dead :(

I would love to see pics of the new betta!

Heres the one I got: a primarily dark red crowntail with a slightly blue-ish body! He has really nice fins which is hard to tell in the pics but they are really grown in!

Once I put him in his new home it was impossible to get a pic from him (since its a circle) lol and he was really swimming around finally not living in a cup!

Oh and bonus! When he rang up all CT's were on sale for 2.99

Having had a few bettas over the years, I'm convinced that the best setup for fancy males is for them to be in their own generously sized bowl of at least a gallon or two. We have one now that we got at a Petco three and a half years ago, which means that it has to be close to four years old!
