Saw it on the news. They could have at least let Pluto keep its satus as a planet and just not designate anything esle that is found. It would make things easier for everyone. Not to mention that Pluto was my favorite planet.

So they made it official? But i guess its only fair. At least this way it will be possible to define what is properly a "planet". And at least we don't have a new planet named after some (although admittedly attractive in some ways) warrior princess :P

All the textbooks in the world all have to change now. I can't wait till I'm really old and say " Back in my day. We had nine planets." :p:

roflmao---zen, that is great!! me too!!!!

 That ain't right. Area 51 better start stockpiling equipment, there are going to be some pretty pissed off extraterrestrials floating about in space...with a vengeance!

But honestly, this is just weird. I'm never going to be able to help my little cousins with their school projects now. "Kriiis there's no such thing as PLUTO!". This is almost as bad as when they changed all the names and looks of the dinosaurs I learned about in elementary school. Brontosaurus, Stegasaurus Rex, etc. Whatever happened to them?!? They have all these "new school" dinosaurs that I know nothing about!

Ok sorry, I'll stop dating myself now. Way to go Pluto!
