i know but rainbowes cost too much around were i live so im working on something else.


when i get some doe ill work on it im working on somthing else cause those fish are cheap



you know all my local ppetsmart,petco dont got rainbows so i got to this lil fish store that sells fish and rainbows cost me $6.50 each

Start buying one at a time then, or save up some money. Your gonna/should have these fish for years to come, so take your time, get the fish you really like and don't buy any fish just becuase there cheap (btw, according to one of my fish books, looking for the cheapest place to buy a fish is a false economy. IME, this hold's true with neons when comparing wal-mart and petsmart, as the neaons are A LOT smaller at wal-mart.).
I'd also like to add that buying a lot of different fish usually looks kinda cluttered IMe and IMO.

Also, spacing out your additions as much as possible is almost always a good idea, provided that you use common sense and don't space out your additions by a year.

you can buy neons here for .99 each and they are always healthy. They sell them pretty fast, though. You'll always get young ones over here.

Cardinals are more expensive at 2.99 each here but thats because they come from Singapore.

Rainbows are 10.99 each here. They are slow growers and don't sell well so they pop up once in a while but over here the best place to get'em is at a warehouse.

If you are buying your first schooling fish then I suggest you stock it until you have enough of them. The more of one species the happier and healthier they will be.

Your rainbows are going to be pretty woe'd if you don't come up with some doe ...

i got 3 rainbows so far i usally go to petsmart and petco to buy all my fish but they dont got rainbows so i gotta buy em from a lil fish store by my houes

and ima save up and try to get more

i had really good luck with the neons from Petsmart. Although it was some time back. only lost a couple out of 35.

big key to minimize neon loss is in type of net used--use the tightest possible mesh. I forget what they call the little white nets (they actually hold water for awhile.

second is a slow and easy acclimate.

I dont youse nets... and i wish the pet stores didn't, but they have to with the crowded tanks.... Were can you get thease white nets?????

Price is the very last thing on my mind when it comes to buying fish. I buy most my stuff out the one LFS because not only are the fish healthy, they are the only shop in this area that has actually taken more than a few seconds to help me out. They are more than happy to spend half an hour chatting to me and even recommend cheaper products if they think they are better. Thats what keeps bringing me back there.
