Westminster Dog Show = KKK

Earlier, a man strode away yelling, “That’s disgusting! I’m going to buy more fur!”

Maybe they should focus on the many people around here that beat their animals or train them to fight... or the city ordinances that are being put in place to euphanize innocent pit-bulls simply because some dumba$$ decided to treat a pit like crap and make the whole breed look like killers.

Completely ridikulous to be attacking a group of animal lovers like this.. I agree with PETA's intentions on certain things.. but in this case they are simply attacking the wrong people...

Thoughroughbreeding a dog is a LOT less harmfull than beating one, or forcing it to fight, or euphanizing it due to peoples stupidity.. they need to be protesting that

I think we all knew they were way out on another planet with their thinking and this kind of action supports that belief. We talk of polarized politics being extreme on either end but this kind of thinking goes way beyond those extremes. It isn't just PETA, it also seems to be E.L.F. and other extreme groups.

It is a shame that they must go beyond the boundaries of what is considered acceptable behavior. It is strange that they ask for ethical treatment of animals and yet they euthanize 90% of the animals they "rescue". I believe they are nothing more than a couple of crooks getting wealthy from the work and money of gullible people.

(Now where did I put my fur coat???)

I'm not a fan of more extreme or inbred dogs ,but I would definitely see there are other more viscious things to protest than a high end dog show.

Not saying that many of the dogs are in fact unhealthy as a good majority are judged on there health, but having to give cesarean sections to miniature bulldogs is kinda going too far.

Aren't there puppy mills that need closing? Why are they on the backs on the breeders who are the MOST careful about breeding healthy temperamentally appropriate dogs?
What a waste of energy and resources that really could be productive.

This is like complaining that Greenwich parents are sending their kids to boarding school and not giving them the love and attention they need when crack babies are being thrown in dumpsters in the south Bronx. Can we please PRIORITIZE.

To be fair, the ELF is an actual terrorism group, while PETA, as crazy as they are, is... well, legitimate.

Still, it's so stupid to protest something so small by comparing it to something on level of the KKK.

They need a serious change in leadership. Their tactics- particularly recently- have made them a joke. They are less effective now then they used to be.

Despite the fact they seem to have lost the definition of "ethical" some time ago (species are going extinct, livestock is raised in horrible conditions, people abuse animals...and they are complaining because people like me treat domestic cats as family members? Digressing here...), I can understand why people would want to fight against the eating of animals or lab testing, or similar issues. But how can they not see that they are now doing nothing for such issues? Their ridiculous behavior, in my opinion, hurts their causes more than it helps. That's just bad management.
