I Have done a search on this subject and mainly found the response for salt water. I am currently seting up two 350 gal tanks that will be used for Fresh Water. The water here in Florida is hard and has a high ph-So one is definately a African set up with sand. The other will be for Angel's and schooling fish, with plants that like hard water. Both tanks will have covers I am worried about a flooding problem and/or a noise problem with the wet-dry? I am thinking about making the wet-dry's,(if I go this way), with close to a 50 gallon sump and use float switches on them and the tank. I was also thinking about covering the sumps to help eliminate any sound and huminity? Would you go with sumps or canisters and why? Thank you for any response
