Wet Spot fish?

I'd probably go for a 10gal as I could use it as a breeding tank for what ever I decide.

Yes 5g for 17 fish, but you are getting 16 kerris and one farlowella right? QT them seperate. Or in different rounds so you don't spread any pathogens. Kerris will come in around an inch or less so 176in a 5g is fine provided you do plenty of WC

Well my farlowella will be here very soon (I wont get the kerris for awhile). They NEED algae and bio film to thrive so it'll be a drop and plop. And then I cross my fingers. lol. If I qt, I'll qt the kerries and what ever dwarf cichlid I go with.

Seems like your tank will be producing a decent amount of nitrates, I would reccomend drop half the Kerri's to get some other things or not get more cichlids at all. The latter option seems better as your tank does not have great dimensions.

Ok. I'll start with 8-10 kerris then. I REALLY want a dwarf cichlid. I was going to keep a pair/trio in the tank permanently and then a pair to move to a breeding tank.

I think you should go with Bolivians for your dwarf. My 2 are great. But they prefer 74-76 .
