I want such a large tank even for a solitary betta so I can heat it in my cold house and cycle it to cut down the stress of total water changes on both the betta and myself. Ideally, I'd like to add other fish as well.
I'm seriously considering buying the 8 gallon JBJ Nano Halfmoon Biotope aquarium. It's the freshwater tank, and the gph is 77. I plan to plant the tank with Betta Bulbs.
Does anyone have experience with this tank?
Will the current be too much for a super delta or halfmoon male betta?
I also want to put a few other fish or inverts in the tank to eat any algae and provide me more eye candy. Would eight gallons be too little for a few ghost or cherry shrimp along with a betta? How about otos? How many could I include with the betta and maintain water quality?
Finally, for anyone who has the tank, is it quiet enough to keep in a bedroom?
Thanks so much.
