I tried putting otos with 3 tiger barbs and they killed 1 within a day, so i moved the other 2 ottos to my other tank. So what algae eaters would be ok with tiger barbs?

What size tank? With tiger barbs you could use a gold algae eater. They have some color and can also be a bit aggressive as they mature. They will give the barbs a run for their money. 
IMHO, gold algae eaters (a color variant of CAEs) should not be kept in community tanks, and like CAEs are algae grazers only when small. As adults they need a higher protein diet, and will be happy to get that by sucking on the other fish unfortunate enough to be in the tank with them.
