What am I doing wrong??

I've never had it, I'm so sorry for your losses. Hopefully you can get it under control. Good luck, and congrats on the new tank!

Thanks. I'm still going to try to successfully keep angels.

The lfs owner told me Furan 2 would kill my neons. She said that since it's been nearly a week since I've lost a fish, and none of the others have any symptoms, that I don't need to treat. I'm a little skeptical. I want to make sure the next fish I get won't get infected. Any thoughts or suggestions?

It's been a while now and I haven't lost any more fish. My survivors are 5 neons and 2 panda cories. I'm thinking everything is safe now. I did another huge pwc and cleaned my decor and tank. My lfs is getting in several silver dollar sized angels, and I'm going tomorrow to get one. I traveled to another fs today, and the owner was about the 4th person in the area to tell me that the angel stock in my area was really poor. I'm hoping that since these are older they'll have a better chance. My water parameters are really good, so maybe this time I'll have success.

Got my fish and it is gorgeous! It is much bigger than I expected. Over all he looks good. I'll post a pic as soon as he is more comfy. Right now he's hiding. I've got the room and tank lights off right now. I acclimated him for an hour, slowly adding my tank water to his bag, then I netted him into the tank. His fins look a little rough on closer look. I can't examine him really close today because of the lack of light. Should I add anything now? I'm so extremely nervous about this. Any advice would be appreciated. Oh yeah, he's almost the size of my palm.

Older fish are less fragile than younger.

That's what I was thinking. I figured I'd bite the bullet and pay quite a bit more for an older, more mature fish in order to bypass the fragile early stage. Oh well....we'll see how it goes. He survived the night. Hopefully he'll eat today.
