What am I?

Noticed these little white things in my tank for a while and haven't been able to get any decent pics of them....until now.

And nope...they are not Planaria. Descriptions of small white creatures in the tank usually trigger Planaria thoughts. :grinyes:

I'm going to throw a guess out that it could be a freshwater copepod.... they can be a parasite however, I am not completely sure if this is what it is.

Hydra? Cyclops? I'd sayd Daphnia (sp?), but that don't look like a tiny crab thingo. How do they move?

Definatley not hydra. As far as movement...it appears they walk around. Pretty quickly I might add too. Extremely small in size.

The double tail thing makes me think copepod too.

Not sure. I only saw one set of antenae on it (as depicted in the pics). I gather that it is the head as the direction of movement was from that end. There's nothing trailing from it like more antena, whiskers, tail, etc.

I went quite a few pics as well and haven't found anything that looked like it yet.
