What are cheese balls doing in my shrimp tank!

I'd like to point out that this is a temporary home for my cherries in preparation for a consolidation of two fishtanks. once that happens then the cherries will get a nice 10 gallon all gussied up with the leftover plants and hardscaping. Until then this will get twice or three times weekly water changes. I'll keep the water at room temps to make it all easy.

How'd you get the label off w/o messing up the surface?

Sun and Java moss=near dead moss. lol.
Gonna move it under my 75, add more moss, a rock or two, wood and basically do what the OP is doing. =) Not much else you can do, lol.

run it through the dishwasher with no soap.

I very gently but firmly and slowly peeled the labels off and managed to get them off in one whole piece. The little glue that was left on I got off by sticking the label back on and off a few times just on the gluey stuff. After they were off I cleaned the whole thing inside and out with soapy water and a sponge. I then rinsed it over and over with lots of water.

I am gonna tell the fish gods...you can't clean a tank with soap! :evil_lol:

Looks great!

Bob. It wasn't a tank until I cleaned it. Are you busting my chops because I got creative?

Bob, I suppose I could have left the crumbs for the shrimp?

I guess if you know the fish gods then you must be an alien or a mafia hitman or somthin'.... huh?

Oh... and uh... Thanks

Well, it's been almost two months now and the tank rocks man! I'ts best at feeding time. I drop a flake of food in and try to make it land on the wood so I can watch the shrimp come out of hiding to feast. The, now, big patch of moss on the bottom is like a shrimp sponge that gets squeezed when food is in the tank. Once every couple of weeks I take it to the front window to get some sun otherwise it's under the LED lights for 8 hours a day. Water changes are on a biweekly 50% water change schedule but I really think the tank maintains itself well enough to go longer but why chance it. This tank is a joy and if I ever get tired of it I can recycle it. I don't know if I mentioned it before but Target put a little note on the container suggesting it be reused.
