Dont you know? they can shoot lasers out of their eyeballs at night!! Sheesh, i thought everyone Knew that!!

Some ( not commons though) have little spikey protrusions closer to their heads too..
 
Thanks. Mine is getting to big for the 30 gallon its in now and want to put it in my CA/SA cichlid tank.

oh and I have seen mine shoot lazers out of its eyes durring the day time. Pluss I think it took part in a drive by once.
 
Carefull with the cichlid tank. Some more agressive cichlids will tear the eyes out of a pleco's head. They can't really defend against that. Also, red belly piranah have been known to blind them, then flip them over to eat the soft belly. So keep an eye on your plec, armor does'nt promise saftey with some other types of fish.

I'm with you on this, Malefic. I still don't recommend ever mixing plecos with aggressive fish because of their "armor".
 
I wouldn't mix them with CA/SA. I know many have and get away with it, but it is just something I would not do.
