What are these black dots on my java fern?

Heres what they look like...They almost look a little hairy to me.
20 long tank
2 20 watt fixtures
DIY co2
Iron trace and flourish

Should I be worried?

Perfectly normal and are part of the plant. They are spores. It is from these spores that baby plants are grown.
 
i agree mostly if it's only on the taller leaves. to keep this down you will want to trim leaves just before they get to that size.
 
it's up to you really. new plants should grow from the top either way. even if they're trimmed and left or tied down somewhere else to grow. i started with a little 3 or 4 inch rhizome that's now about 12"+ long and has produced plants all over my tank. most of which were from trimmed leaves.

i will say it will look better if the leaves are too small to start reproducing.
