I walked into my fish room tonight and for the first time ever i saw what i think are snails there are literally hundreds of them up against the glass they are quite small the only thing i can tell you it they are brown and have a twirly shell.how
what do you think they are?
how do they multiply?
how big do they get?

Malaysian trumpet snails. Considering the time you saw them, MTS are nocturnal by nature and will not appear during the day remaining buried underground.

They are very cool. they eat any leftover food in my tanks. I love having them. They come out to eat en mass and then all disappear leaving my sand looking great.

mine don't hide; i see them all the time :D

was looking on the net at some pictures thats them for sure i have no idea how i got them but it sounds like a good thing i do :) just freaked me out as i have never seen them in there before and i have not got a new fish or plant in months....
