What are your Fishkeeping Tips

When doing water changes don't just dump that dirty water down the drain. It makes an excellent fertilizer for house plants and gardens.

Oh, I also already posted, but thought of a good one:

Don't do your water testing while watching something funny on TV...

[laughing] + [counting out drops of harmful test fluids] = [BIG MESS]

small spoons come with red sea kits and the freshwater master kit has more of what you need included than anything else in it's price range. 2 birds, 1 stone...

measure anything small by putting it in something larger and dividing the size of the larger one by how many it took to fill it of the smaller one. (this works great for small dosing spoons)

and when in doubt remove your impeller and clean everything with q-tips.

EDIT: baby medicine syringes and eye droppers are great tools to have. eye droppers help level out what's in your test tube. baby medicine syringes can measure anything liquid from prime to who knows what when dosing... and you can often get them free at pharmacies or walmart if you ask.
