For all you people out there with DSLR's i was curious to what brand of camera you are using. If you want to indulge what extras you have for you camera that would be great too.

I've got a nikon d40 with a 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm lens. I've only had it since the start of December so i'm still new to the world of SLR photography but i'm totally hooked and now i have two expensive hobby's. I've also just ordered a set of close up filters and a macro filter so i'm excited to get them and see what i can do with them. Next on my list is a speed flash and TTL lead.

We have a Canon Rebel XSi, I really like it. It just has the standard 18-55mm lens, can't afford any fancy accessories for it yet, but its good enough for most of what I want to do.

Nikon D40. I love it, just need to learn how to use it properly. lol

I REALLY want a macro lens for it, but alas.... they cost as much or more than the camera!

I also have a Canon XSi 12.2 Mp.
i have a Sigma 35-70mm zoom
and a Sigma 70-300mm zoom
I also have a set of screw on close up / Macro lenses.

I want a canon speedlight 580 and a remote flash cord.

So far I like it, but I do wish I had a smaller lens for it, 28 mm or so.

I use a Canon PowerShot S50, 5 MP's, obviously not as good as some may have ..........:)

i have a nikon d40 as well with the standard 18-55 lense also with a Promaster 75-300 w/ macro option (promaster is rebranded Tamron lense) it does not have vibration reduction but if you hold it right you are fine....also if you get a monopod you are more than just fine

Screw on macro filters are a cheap alternative.

there are also good cheat sheets on amazon to learn how to use your camera....i think they are called pocket references....dont remember
Thanks, i'll look for them.
