What breed of goldfish in a 36g bowfront tank?

Ok, so in my 36g bowfront, I have some tetras and an avocado puffer. I'm giving the tetras to my uncle because he doesn't have a fish store around and he wants them. I'm going to get my puffer it's own tank, and I think I might get goldfish. Which kind? I want like 3, I think that would fit the rule (I have 50 or 60 gallons worth of filtration on there.)

Also, can you keep multiple breeds together? I like ryukins, moors, ranchus, and orandas.
 
I think a majority of goldie lovers will say that the tank is too small for any goldies. But if you're insistent on getting one get fancys. No comets or commons. And yes you can keep different breeds together.
 
You can keep 2-3 fancies in there but 2 is much better so you can control your water quality better. Not all fancies are compatible. Which exactly do you want to keep? I'm biased to crown pearlscales, orandas, China dolls and telescopes though.
 
Best advice I can give you for longevity of a GF is weekly 90% WC.
 
Please check out some of the videos on this guy's page to illustrate the reality of how big well cared for fancy goldfish can get. No responsible fishkeeper would ever suggest that 3 6 to 8 inch oscars was an acceptable bioload for a 36 gallon tank. I don't understand why all that goes out the window when it comes to goldfish.

Right, I agree with Inka. I wouldn't go more than 2 in that tank. Which you want among the fancies (round bodies), I would think what your preferences are is what matters best.
 
I think that there are few things more attractive than a planted tank with two, large, carefully chosen fancies in it. I am agreeing with the majority of posters. I would go with two for company and put in some attractive anubias or other goldie proof plants.
 
My advice,75 gallon tank or the biggest you can afford.Or,even better,an outdoor pond...
