It's ‘lesser killie’ fish, also called a Dwarf Livebearer...personally I find it interesting you would argue with me quite angrily about you keeping a puffer in a 2g in two separate threads and then jump in here to repeat the info I gave you...just interesting...

People get so worked up because of the nature of animal care. If you are a caring, responsible pet owner, you will be hard pressed not to get emotionally invested. I, for one, LOVE my fishies and am not shy about saying so.

I don't know about drummers, but it's always touchy when pet owners try to tell other pet owners how to do things. It's kinda like that lady at the store hitting her kids. You know everyone wants to tell her not to do it, but it's rude. Some people would go ahead and tell her off anyway for the sake of the children. There's not that kind of stigma attached to pet ownership. If someone thinks they have a better way of doing things, they go ahead and say it. Pet owners are probalby some of the most self-righteous people I can think of.

But maybe drummers get as defensive when another drummer tries to tell you how to play! I don't know. You guys are artists, so there's probably respect for letting everyone do it their own way.

Anyway, that's just what I came up with, in answer to your question, in the past 10 minutes or so... Although I've certainly thought about this one before myself.

I don't know fishcatch. Why would you create a bunch of posts on different fish and tank questions, and then post that you were lying about all of them? I'm afraid you are under suspicion now.

Megafish, 2 gallons is limited because of the size, and the fact that it can't be properly heated. In a room with a moderate stable temperature 2 male endlers would work, or 1 guppy (who might be lonely, but would have to remain alone for space reasons). In a cold environment perhaps 2 white clouds, although they are really schooling fish and prefer to be in a group of 6 or more. IMO bettas need more space than this, and they need a heated (or warm and stable temp) environment.

I personally like crustaceans, so I have 3 ghost shrimp in my 1G with a little bushy plant. Ghost shrimp are cheap, easy to find and cool to watch IMO :) I also have a bamboo shrimp in my 5G, but I think he might do OK in a 2G also and they are attractive and cool to watch also.

Bamboo shrimp would get way to big for a 2gal tank, The 5gal tank is probably to small for it too. The bamboo shrimp can get to be around 5" and they are a filter feeder. You would never be able to keep enough food suspended in the water column to keep it feed without fouling the water very quickly.

I can tell you exactly why i'm so hostile. Fishcatch is the third person in less than two weeks that has made a bunch of posts and then said "I'm sorry I lied". People come here to get answer to honest questions I have no problem helping then, but when you get a bunch of kids on summer break that don't have friends and want to play games I get pi**ed. I really don't know whats wrong with kids nowadays, but if my father would have ever seen that I was lying to anyone I would have got a beating. Maybe that's why I can't stand being lied to.
