what can you tell me about these two tangs?

They're much more hardier than the Powder Blues.

lol...well ive just seen to many die in a new tank..u have to agree that they arnt a starter fish and should be only added to a mature tank...like most tangs. plus the powders tend to get parasite infections more easily. just my two cents though...ive just sold to many and watched them die due to improper conditions...so just a word of cation:)

I hear you. I think all fish are prone to infection or death with improper water conditions. I think as long as it's the A. japonicus, a decent size, is eating before it's bought, not moping, (hopefully) proper QT with continuous great water conditions in the DT, it should be okay.

With that said, I understand your concern. I also agree that the Zebrasomas are the hardiest of all of them. Still wondering if he bought one or both of them though?

sorry..not yet..still researching.
as for water conditions I am in the habit of staying on top of tank conditions..raising discus and wild angels has gotten me into a routine. these tanks get water change 2-3 times per week..but these are freshwater fish.

I'm pretty anal about testing water and keeping an eye on the tanks.
