hi i am a new member and i have lots and lots of cichlid experince. i have quit haveing pet fish for a while and now im back into it. i am very intrested in breeding fishs. i have already breeded convicts and im thinking about rams. i have searched this site and form what i hear, rams are not the easiest and may be difficult. i want to breed colorful nice cichlids. i doesnt matter if its agresive or not. can anyone here suggest what fishs are cool to breed.

The important thing is to breed cichlids that YOU like. Not the ones that others told you to like. Its like any other hobby you need the passion to do it. There are alot of pictures on the web. Look around and pick out what inspired passion in you and then ask around about how to breed them.
Personally I prefer discus but I keep and breed a few other cichlids.
When you decide I will be happy to help if I can.

discus or angels

Acaras
Jewels
Kribs
Rams
no experience with jewels
have done kribs and proved to be mildly succesful (they only had 3 free swimming batches in the durration of their stay in my tanks)
Am in the process of acaras. they just hatched and the parents are gaurding them.
No success with rams, just one batch and then the female died, so I am trying to try again.

i have two rainbows and they lay egs but i have no male.... they will breed very easily and theyr great
