What color background is better?

Express yourself and share your opinion on which would be the best background for a fish tank.

Black/blue.. points the attention on whats in the tank, not behind it.

I prefer a dark dark green faded to black at the bottom so I answered black.

I like black...I have it in my 60 gal african tank, I think it makes the colors look really nice.

In tanks as in fashion, you can't go wrong with black. But that's not to say other colors don't have their place. You just have to think a little harder to choose an appropriate color for your stock and decor.

the wall behind my tank is a dull olive green which looks pretty natural. my light just happens to reflect a bright band at the top few inches and then its darker behind the rest of the tank.

pic is about a month old and its darker at night.
