I'm a fan of green backgrounds, too. Unfortunately, not a lot of people agree. ;)
Black is the 'tried and true' that everyone seems to agree on.

Yeah most often people like black...

But this is going to be a discus breeder only tank...
The marlboro red is pretty peppered up, the turquoise is not..

I want as little peppering on the fry as possible

Due to the fact that there will be pigeon in them, there will be some peppering no matter what. However, in my opinion, black backgrounds not only bring out, but also cause the dark peppering. I'd go with white, or some other light color. That green looks awesome!!

I have a feeling you'll get a lot more breeding action in the BB breeder tank, zig :) You may be getting some babies soon! Really nice pair.

Exactly why I didnt already make it black.

I hope they pull it off soon. They were spawning every couiple weeks, but I havent seen them spawn in some time now. Hopefully they do, and I get to see some babies hatch.. would love for something besides snails to breed in my tanks!

Thanks for the comments bree!

I think blue or white would be nice =]

What Juice said. With a lean towards the white. Or nothing at all. I like open/clear-on-all-sides tanks myself. If the mechanicals & cords can be kept hidden or at least minimized. Just mho. :)

I'd go with white. Good luck on the breeding!! Mine won't stop...they are in a community tank so all get eaten. It is cool to watch them though!!
