What color is Flourite?

Good deal. I just didn't want you to be as surprised as I was. I had to go to three stores just to get enough for one of my 55s.

Yeah I guess it depends on the manager, I've had some that barely look at the print out price then change without a challenge, and some that almost dont want to match their own online price.

further investigation makes me think I should just find the cheapest place to buy it and get it from that place. Yeah, it really depends on the manager. I really hate being being given that dirty, you're-stealing-from-us look.

Lol, I get over that real quick when I can get stealth heaters and some filters for half of their shelf-price.

I ended up buying a bag from a LFS (Ocean Blue). Not too bad at $25, same as Petsmart but I'd rather support the LFS.

Got half a bag rinsed out and drying right now. Luckily I had one of those mortar mixing tubs lying around and used that to wash it. I'd say that tub was pretty effective; took me about 4 rinses before it came out clean.

Once again, thanks to all who replied.

Make sure you clean it VERY well.

Here's my tank with Natural Fluorite.
I think it looks pretty stupid, but I got 4 bags of it and 7 bottles of fertilizers for $25 bucks so I couldn't pass it up.
Fluorite black would be a better choice.
I think if you mix it with what you already have it will look like Fluorite with Rabbit food mixed in with it.

Jag dont worry about the substrate, once your plants grow-in and fill up the space, you wont see it.
