What Cory Cats School Together?

So in essence, i'd have to agree with the theory that cory do indeed prefer to socialize with their own, if for no other reason then they're own happiness & comfort level.
After my experience this weekend at the LFS, I'll tend to agree. I saw 2 False Julii amongst a dozen smaller Cories that looked very similar (half dotted lines and a panda/shultzi stripe in front.) One of them hung out with the big throng and played with all of them. A few minutes later he was resting alone with his other friend, away from the group. This might be coincidence as even at home my FJ's separate at times, but it was too coincidental that out of the 14 fish ( even though these two were easily the largest) they just decided to hang together under a leaf.

At this point my 16 gallon probably needs another pair of mid-top swimmers and perhaps I'll add just one more FJ and make it an even four. With the 2 Otos I don't want to crowd the bottom and occasionally the bumble gobies like to hang there too and the other fish get curious as well. By adding just one we avoid the question of shoaling and schooling and makes them perhaps a drop happier too.

It took a few days but now the Peppered Cory gang schools with the Panda gang.

I got 5 corys yesterday, they only had 4 of one kind, and he thru in a different kind. they all five school, its soooooo cute!! there like busy beavers, all over the place and always together in the pack.
