Not really. Spain colonized us for more than 300 years but they were gone by about 1898 or 1899. And the Americans well uhmm.. kinda invaded (not meant to be offensive by the way) us for a short while. And they started teaching English in schools so it became a bit of a second language for us. There are still some who speak spanish although they are really at a small percentage of the population.

Wow. What an awesome ancestry. My wife is a descendant of Zachary Taylor. We've got a large Texas contingient at this site. We should have a get-together like they did in Ohio. I'll start a thread.

Hey there, sorry I missed this one, this is a month overdue.

A lot of us speak Tagalog but I can't really say majority does. There are 8 major languages/dialects in the country but yeah Tagalog is probably the most common. The national language is called "Filipino" but its almost the same as "Tagalog". :D
