What did I get?

I'm not one to buy fish from wal-mart because their tanks are disgusting but I usually walk over and see what they have. This poor guy was in there for at least 2 weeks and wasn't looking so hot. Hes perked up considerably since I brought him home but still doesn't have a lot of color. Its tough to get him to eat, although after 48 hours he seems to be more eager to come out.

The guy who bagged it had no idea what it even was so he gave it to me for the cheapest price on the tank, $1.97

I'm about 90% sure its Mikrogeophagus altispinosus but can someone confirm? (pardon my daughters carebear sticker she just had to have on the tank in the second pic )

I'm hoping he pulls through, he's pretty weak but seems to be improving.

Yep Bolivian Ram but Walmart sometimes calls them by another name, I think clown rams but not sure, anyways it is a Bolivian ram. Good luck with it

I think that with good water and food on a regular basis not only should he perk up but there may be a change in the coloring as well.
